Phillip is an Associate Professor and the Program Director for the Athletic Training Program at Kansas State University. Dr. Vardiman received his undergraduate degree from Park University in 1996, his master’s of science from Oklahoma State University in 1998, and his PhD from the University of Arkansas in 2007. His research interests include the immune and inflammatory response to exercise and therapeutic modality clinical interventions. At this time, Dr. Vardiman is exploring the response of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization to human skeletal muscle. Dr. Vardiman has been a practicing athletic trainer since 1996. Since then, he has worked with multiple sports at Park University, Oklahoma State University, the University of Arkansas, and the University of Kansas. In addition, Dr. Vardiman volunteers as an Athletic Trainer for USA Track and Field.
