Jyotsna “Jyo” Supnekar works as a Clinical Specialist at Johns Hopkins Outpatient Therapy Services. She earned her master’s in occupational therapy at University of Bombay and has practiced since 1986. She has specialized in hand therapy and has been a Certified Hand Therapist for 18 years. Jyo also completed advanced study in hand and upper quarter rehabilitation, and specialized in lymphedema therapy as well as neuro developmental treatment techniques for hemiplegia. She has taken numerous educational courses over the years for advanced training. Jyo was introduced to HawkGrips in 2014 by her Outpatient Services Director at Johns Hopkins. They have since found the instruments to be extremely helpful for treating soft tissue disorders. Says Jyo, “I was honored to teach HawkGrips training classes over the past year, and enjoyed the experience.” Jyo is passionate about working towards healthy living for the mind and body, enjoys humor in all its many forms, and loves to keep learning!
